About The Position

Northwest Beef Express is hiring an experienced diesel technician to join their growing crew at the Hermiston shop. The company operates a clean, well-organized, in-house fleet shop with well-maintained trucks and trailers. They have a dedicated tire tech on staff to allow diesel technicians to focus on mechanical work. Northwest Beef Express is a small, family-owned ag trucking operation that values its employees, where work is noticed, input matters, and employees are recognized by name.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on diesel experience.
• A/C certification and relevant experience.
• Proficiency in running diagnostics using CAT ET, Peterbilt software, Cummins Insite, and QuickServe.
• Valid, insurable driver's license.
• Reliability, clear communication, and ownership of work.

Responsibilities

• Working a set of work orders each day, laid out by the service writer.
• Performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on the truck and trailer fleet, including engines, A/C, drivetrain, and electrical systems.
• Collaborating with another technician on larger jobs when necessary.
• Assisting drivers in getting back on the road during shift change to ensure continuous operation.
• Working in a fast-paced, 24/7 agricultural operation.
