About The Position

Our technicians are responsible for providing superb customer service by diagnosing, visual inspections, removal of parts and attachments, warranty repairs, performing preventative maintenance services, repairing lights and wiring, welding, cutting and other repairs. This position reports to the Service Manager, is a 40 hour a week position and is eligible for overtime. For well-qualified, proven efficient applicants, we also offer a flat rate compensation plan. This position also qualifies for a monthly bonus incentive based on your upsales.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Three years of prior dealer experience or 7 years total diesel experience.
Fluent in software such as Davie, Cummins, Service ranger, and Bendix acom.
Experience in Cummins claim filing.
Understand the requirements for warranty coverage and the ability to assess warranty coverage.
Mechanical aptitude and technical ability.
Able to operate power and hand tools and other equipment safely.
Able to read and comprehend instructions and information.
Dressing professionally and being able to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors, and other contacts is a must.
Willing to submit to a background check and post-offer drug screen.

Responsibilities

Diagnosing, visual inspections, removal of parts and attachments, warranty repairs, performing preventative maintenance services, repairing lights and wiring, welding, cutting and other repairs.
Perform engine reconditioning - in frame and out of frame.
Perform basic job tasks such as electrical diagnostics, clutches, brakes, wheel seals, P.M. services, DOT and associated paperwork.
