This role involves working hands-on with a serious fleet including Class 8 trucks (Freightliner, Western Star, International), various engines (Detroit 60 Series, DD15, DD16, Cummins X15), transmissions (DT12, Eaton autos, 10/13/18-speed manuals), and equipment like Vans, Flatbeds, Gravel Trains, Live Bottoms, Tankers, and specialized systems such as MC331 propane tankers & hydraulics. DHT Group strongly encourages military experience, valuing discipline, precision, and accountability.

Requirements

• 6 months to 1 year of verifiable diesel mechanic experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and advance
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Ability and knowledge to diagnose diesel engines, transmissions, and differential projects
• Strong communication skills – team oriented

Nice To Haves

• CDL (or willingness to obtain one)
• ASE certifications (HD trucks)
• Experience with MC331 tankers & hydraulics
• Familiarity with fleet maintenance software
• Take pride in keeping trucks safe, reliable, and road-ready in a timely manner
• At least 3 years of experience in MC331 tankers and hydraulics specifically

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Perform preventative maintenance & DOT inspections
• Utilize industry software: Diagnostic Link, Cummins Insite, Bendix, Wabco, Navistar, Edith
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate with your team
• Take ownership of your work—start to finish
