About The Position

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Mt. Clemens, MI. You will complete repairs on engine products in a service shop, perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools, maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles, adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies, and pursue ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products. You will also be responsible for maintaining your own tools.

Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

Nice To Haves

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
• Locally valid driving permit
• A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools
• Completes complex internal engine repairs
• Performs engine overhauls unassisted
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software
