About The Position

Nextran Truck Centers is hiring a Diesel Technician in Jacksonville, FL. As a Diesel Technician, you are a valued member of our team, performing accurate diagnosis and essential repair of heavy-duty commercial vehicles, quality and cost-effective preventive maintenance, effective communication with the parts department and the service advisor, safe movement of trucks/equipment to/from shop and yard area, reporting machinery defects and malfunctions, documentation of all work performed, and first-in-class customer service. Spanning the Southeast and Midwest United States, we provide sales, parts, and service for several leading brands, including Mack, Volvo, Isuzu, GMC, Ford, Hino, and Kalmar Ottawa.

Requirements

• Prior experience with commercial vehicle repair; prefer at least 12 months' experience
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record
• Computer experience necessary to perform diagnostics and research
• Experience working on Mack, Volvo or Isuzu engines
• ASE Certified or Technical School training
