About The Position

Modern Auto Company, a Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC dealership, is seeking a fully trained and certified Diesel Technician to join their service team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in Duramax diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks looking for steady work in a well-equipped shop.

Requirements

• Certified diesel technician (ASE and/or GM certification preferred).
• Proven experience with diesel diagnostics and repair.
• Experience with Duramax engines strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, including GM Duramax platforms.
• Perform engine, fuel system, turbocharger, emissions, and drivability repairs.
• Use GM factory diagnostic tools and service information.
• Troubleshoot complex diesel performance and electrical concerns.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
• Document work performed and communicate with service advisors.
• Follow all GM procedures and safety guidelines.
