About The Position

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Dedham, MA. You will make an impact by completing repairs on engine products in a service shop, performing maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools, maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles, adhering to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies, pursuing ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products, and maintaining your own tools.

Requirements

• Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

Nice To Haves

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
• Locally valid driving permit

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools
• Completes complex internal engine repairs
• Performs engine overhauls unassisted
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software
