About The Position

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business in Tulsa, OK. In this role, you will make an impact by completing troubleshooting, repairs, and rebuilds on engine products and other customer equipment in a service shop. You will perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of engines, utilizing computers and software for diagnostic work. You will apply documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, identifying and preparing required parts and tools. Completing required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens. Ongoing training and additional certifications on new and existing Cummins products are provided. You will adhere to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation and report any issues/incidents to your supervisor.

Requirements

  • Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
  • A current valid license is required for this role.
  • Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience.
  • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations.
  • This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements.
  • This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.

  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
  • Locally valid driving permit
  • A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
  • Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older

Responsibilities

  • Complete troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on engine products and other customer equipment in a service shop.

  • Ongoing training and additional certifications on new and existing Cummins products.
  • Adhere to all our relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.
  • Applies documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools.
  • Disassemble, inspect and clean engines and /or engine components.
  • Assists with completion required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
  • Completes training in line with skill and business requirements.
  • Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.
