Requirements

  • at least 3 years of diesel repair experience
  • track down electrical, emissions, mechanical, and other tough-to-diagnose problems.
  • Understands diesel engines, trailers, refrigeration units, and repair procedures

Nice To Haves

  • CDL A, PA Inspection License, or other industry certifications are a plus but not required.
  • Takes initiative, works efficiently with minimal supervision, and follows through on responsibilities.
  • Is comfortable learning new technology, familiar with or willing to learn fleet management software, and eager to continue developing their skills.
  • Demonstrates humility, integrity, and respect for others while contributing to a positive, family-focused work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, air, hydraulic, and emissions systems on tractors and trailers.
  • Troubleshoot and service trailer refrigeration units (reefer units) to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs and address safety concerns.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of fleet equipment.
  • Document inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities accurately and thoroughly.
  • Operate hand tools, diagnostic equipment, lifting devices, and shop equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to occasional road service calls as needed.
