Diesel Technician - Night Shift - 5p to 5a (2)
About The Position
Are you an experienced and motivated Diesel Technician looking for an opportunity to use your skills and talent to maintain a fleet of late model trucks and trailers safely and confidently? If so, we have the opportunity for you at our Kernersville, NC location! At Best Logistics Group you will become part of a growing, family-oriented team that help make us the BEST! You will report to an on-site Foreman and will be compensated WELL based on your experience. Your main responsibility is to safely and efficiently maintain a varied fleet of equipment associated with our company. We have multiple shifts and opportunities available!
Requirements
- 1+ years of Preventative Maintenance experience on Class 8 vehicles (within the last 2 years).
- Experience in troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance on Class 8 Road Tractors/Trailers.
- Experience with tire changes, oils/fluid checks, and 5th wheel maintenance.
- Experience with service and parts documentation/Repair Orders (RO).
- Knowledge of FMCSA and/or DOT maintenance guidelines and regulations.
- Ability to communicate issues to the Shop Foreman.
- Basic computer skills.
- The ability to work independently of others.
- General knowledge of preventative maintenance for Class 8 Tractor Trailers.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must provide own basic tools (hand tools and tool box).
- Must be able to pass a reference check from a verifiable supervisor-level reference.
- Must adhere to assigned training and work schedule.
- Must communicate all scheduling conflicts with the Shop Foreman.
- Must have basic computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Prior trucking experience a plus.
- CDL is a plus.
