About The Position

Completes diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under limited supervision. We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Avondale, AZ). We offer sign-on bonus, relocation, competitive pay and benefits! Will make an impact in the following ways: Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products Maintain own tools

Requirements

• Technical/trade school degree from an accredited program or equivalent work experience
• Some relevant technician experience
• Qualified to perform work on an intermediate number of products in-scope for technician at this location
• Primarily engaged in moderately complex maintenance and repair
• Some exposure to moderate or complex diagnostics
• Requires limited direct supervision
• May provide basic training or guidance to new technicians
• A current valid license is required for this role
• Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
• This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
• This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements
• This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing
• Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
• Locally valid driving permit

Responsibilities

• Completes complex internal engine repairs
• Performs engine overhauls unassisted
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software
• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools
