About The Position

Nextran Truck Centers is hiring a Diesel Technician in Tallahassee, FL. This skilled position is responsible for repairing and maintaining our customers' Medium & Heavy-Duty Trucks. This includes diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, repairs, disassembly and re-assembly, and writing detailed work notes. The technician will diagnose causes of malfunctions, perform repairs efficiently and accurately, communicate with the parts department for needed parts, and update the Service Advisor on repair progress and potential delays. They will also document all work performed and recommended on the repair order and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA.

Requirements

Heavy-duty truck repair experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Personal tools.
Basic Hand Tools
Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

ASE Certification a plus
Experience with Mack, Volvo, Isuzu, Cummins heavy-duty trucks and engines.
Valid CDL a plus

Responsibilities
