About The Position

Western Express is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment. The technician will work in a state-of-the-art facility, utilizing OEM diagnostic software and tools to accurately diagnose and repair major systems. Requirements

Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency.
Consistent and reliable attendance for scheduled shifts.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Demonstrated ability to follow directions and complete tasks accurately.
Physical capability to stand and walk for extended periods, regularly lift up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

Perform DOT-compliant maintenance and repairs on all fleet vehicles and equipment.
Complete preventive maintenance services to ensure optimal vehicle performance and reliability.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair major systems, including engines, transmissions, DEF, and A/C systems.
Utilize OEM diagnostic software and tools to support accurate and efficient repairs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
