About The Position

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Columbia, MO. You will make an impact in the following ways: Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop, Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools, Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles, Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies, Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products, Maintain own tools.

Requirements

• A current valid CDL is required for this role.
• This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free of major violations
• This role is subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing requirements and on going random drug and alcohol testing
• This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
• This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
• Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age

Nice To Haves

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
• Locally valid driving permit

Responsibilities

• Completes complex internal engine repairs
• Performs engine overhauls unassisted
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software
