About The Position

NVR plays a specialized and hands-on role in customizing and outfitting commercial vehicles to meet client needs. This role involves executing mechanical, electrical, and body modifications, fabricating custom components, and ensuring all work meets quality and compliance standards. The technician will also be responsible for troubleshooting, testing, documentation, customer interaction, workshop maintenance, and continuous learning.

Requirements

Safety shoes are required on day one of employment.
Employees must wear approved safety footwear at all times while working in designated shop and service areas.
Background screening is a mandatory prerequisite for employment consideration.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with clients to understand their goals for vehicle modifications.
Evaluate the current state of the vehicle and determine required modifications.
Execute mechanical, electrical, and body modifications, including installing specialty parts, electrical upgrades, and interior enhancements.
Customize or fabricate mounting hardware, wiring harnesses, and structural supports.
Weld, cut, and adapt components as needed.
Conduct thorough inspections and testing to ensure modifications meet safety standards and function as expected.
Ensure all work is compliant with industry regulations and standards.
Diagnose any issues arising during or after modifications.
Test systems—both mechanically and electronically—to confirm proper operation.
Maintain detailed records of parts used, labor time, and modification specifications.
Provide clients with estimates, progress updates, and final summaries.
Communicate professionally with clients to clarify requirements, manage expectations, and explain technical aspects.
Offer expert advice and tailored solutions based on vehicle type and usage.
Keep the work environment clean, safe, and organized.
Regularly inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe operation.
Stay current on new vehicle technologies, customization techniques, and regulatory requirements.
Engage in training and professional development to expand skill sets.
