About The Position
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Cleveland, OH. You will make an impact in the following ways: Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products Maintain own tools
Requirements
- Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
- This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements.
- This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
Nice To Haves
- Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians
- Apprentice Trained Engine Technician
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
- Locally valid driving permit
- CDL if possible.
Responsibilities
- Completes complex internal engine repairs
- Bumper to Bumper Chassis Experience
- Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
- Electrical Proficiency and Understanding
- Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software
