About The Position
Diesel Technician / Mechanic Western Branch Diesel Hazard, Kentucky $30-$38 Per Hour DOE Western Branch Diesel, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, has an opening for a Diesel Mechanic at our location in Hazard, Kentucky. This individual can be looking to start their career or have previous experience as a technician. Indel Power Group is a distributor/dealer for major brands such as mtu , Detroit Diesel, Allison Transmission, Cummins, Caterpillar, Volvo Penta, Freightliner, Western Star, Isuzu, Autocar, and Crane Carrier to name a few. Requirements
- Technician roles are physically demanding and require prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
- Occasional heavy lifting and pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds (or more) may be required.
- While performing the duties of this job, the Technician will frequently use hands to manipulate and grasp objects; reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, stretch, or twist to perform repairs and inspections.
- Good vision to inspect repair work and effective communication are essential.
- Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
- A technician may work in areas with temperature and/or humidity extremes.
- All offers of employment are contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities
- Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls
- Use OEM software, tools, and technologies to maintain, diagnose, and complete repairs to promptly address and resolve customer vehicle or equipment concerns
- Commitment to safety and cleanliness
- Maintain open communication with management team regarding job status, updates, and changes
