About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician who can accurately inspect, maintain, and repair diesel engines. In this role, you will use diagnostic software along with your technical expertise to identify and resolve mechanical issues while working with a skilled team of technicians to keep our fleet operating efficiently.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of diesel mechanic experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of automatic transmissions and aftertreatment diagnostics
  • Must have personal tools

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on Freightliner, Volvo, Mack, and International trucks
  • ASE Certification
  • Valid CDL License

Responsibilities

  • Inspect diesel engines and vehicles to diagnose mechanical issues
  • Perform diagnostic testing and identify worn or damaged parts
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability
  • Repair and replace major components including: Power and drivetrain systems, Electrical systems, Fuel and emissions systems, Brake, steering, and hydraulic systems
  • Perform engine overhauls, adjustments, and alignments
  • Test vehicle performance and verify repairs through inspections and test drives
  • Document all maintenance and repair work completed
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain required components
  • Maintain shop tools, equipment, and a safe work environment
  • Follow all federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations
