About The Position

As a Technician at Penske, you will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet of vehicles. This role is suitable for individuals seeking their first job out of school or those with some vehicle repair experience looking for a career change. The position offers variety, working on different types of equipment from multiple manufacturers, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability. Penske provides comprehensive training, including industry-certified programs and hands-on coaching from experienced supervisors and master technicians, to support career growth. The company maintains clean facilities and provides all necessary major shop tools. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined or have completed vehicle repair training, are willing to learn, and are interested in a stable career with growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
• Doing preventative maintenance repairs—like replacing or rotating tires—and completing vehicle component lubrication and replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles
• Partnering with your manager to learn new skills using Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
