This position requires advanced knowledge and ability to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body components and systems related to heavy duty and light duty trucks. This may include gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems, and may involve welding and fabrication. The role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for diagnostics related to a fleet of refuse and recycling vehicles, including maintenance and repair of Mack, IHC, Autocar, Heil, and McNeilus vehicles and equipment. The technician will also support coworkers in working safely and efficiently, complete all required paperwork in a timely manner, follow all safety policies and procedures, maintain a clean and safe work area, utilize vehicle computer electronics systems for diagnostics, conduct safety checks, perform repairs using Factory Service Manuals, and maintain a high standard of ethics and dependability.
