About The Position

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Dedham, MA. You will make an impact in the following ways: Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products Maintain own tools

Requirements

• Strong technical acumen in engine systems, diagnostics, and electronic service tools to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Effective communication skills to clearly convey technical information to customers and team members.
• Adaptability and initiative to handle diverse service environments and shifting priorities with confidence.
• Commitment to development through ongoing training and self-directed learning to stay current with Cummins technologies.
• A current valid license is required for this role
• Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
• This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
• This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements.
• This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
• Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians

Responsibilities

• Completes complex internal engine repairs
• Performs complex unassisted engine overhauls
• Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
• Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation
