About The Position

This role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing various vehicle systems for tractors, trailers, and refrigeration equipment. The technician will also perform preventative maintenance services and establish positive working relationships. The position requires the ability to receive and carry out instructions, maintain regular attendance, and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair
• Excellent mechanical repair skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues
• Ability to read service and repair manuals
• Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion
• Ability to read work orders
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Must have own tools
• Safety shoes (steel or composite toe) required

Nice To Haves

• CDL Class A driver's license preferred

Responsibilities

• Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs brake systems, engines, electrical components, steering systems, transmissions, drive trains, and tires for tractors, trailers, and refrigeration equipment
• Performs preventative maintenance services, including changing oil, checking fluids, inspecting batteries, testing lights, and lubricating equipment
• Establishes and maintains positive working relationships
• Receives and carries out instructions
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned.
