Requirements

  • Familiarity with diesel engines, repair terminology, and shop workflow.
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with shop management systems, Fullbay preferred.
  • Ability to clearly explain repair needs and timelines to customers.
  • Capable of managing multiple repair orders and tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to troubleshoot missing information, clarify technician notes, and keep workflow moving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 2-5 years parts, with truck shop, data entry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and maintain repair orders, work orders, and service tickets with accurate customer and vehicle information.
  • Input labor times, parts used, diagnostic notes, and technician comments into the shop management system with high accuracy.
  • Greet customers, gather vehicle concerns, explain recommended services, and provide status updates throughout the repair process.
  • Work closely with diesel technicians to clarify repair needs.
  • Review completed work orders for accuracy before closing and billing.
  • Provide a professional, friendly experience for every customer, ensuring clarity and trust in the repair process.
