Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Two-year degree or Certificate from a Technical Institution preferred.
  • Maintenance management software such as JDE, SAP, or other CMMS preferred.
  • 2+ years of diesel mechanic, pump mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, or industrial maintenance experience.
  • Submit to and satisfactorily complete pre-employment background, medical, alcohol, and drug screening.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Able and willing to work a rotating shift schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime (if applicable).
  • Able and willing to work in inclement weather, climb structures, perform work at heights, and in enclosed spaces.
  • Able and willing to work both independently in remote locations and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel-powered equipment, engines, and associated mechanical systems.
  • Inspect, repair, and rebuild centrifugal pumps, diaphragm pumps, transfer pumps, and other fluid handling equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on pumps, engines, compressors, generators, trailers, and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, cooling, and electrical systems.
  • Repair and replace bearings, seals, impellers, shafts, couplings, belts, hoses, and other mechanical components.
  • Perform engine diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, including fuel systems, cooling systems, and emissions components.
  • Ability to use volt meters and other electrical test equipment.
  • Ability to use oxygen/acetylene gas cutting.
  • Ability to maintain all plant equipment by utilizing PdM, PM, and other maintenance strategies.
  • Maintain equipment reliability through preventative maintenance programs and routine inspections.
  • Operate forklifts, telehandlers, overhead cranes, and other shop equipment safely.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training programs.
  • Demonstrate TETRA CORE Values and commitment to safe work practices.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams.
  • Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules as business needs require.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to interpret oral and written instructions.
  • Willingness to accommodate a flexible work schedule and work OT as needed.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Work Practices as it applies to Industrial Maintenance.
