This role involves performing routine maintenance, adjustments, repairs, and diagnostics on various diesel equipment, including class 6 through 8 diesel equipment, forklifts, and trailing equipment. The Diesel Mechanic will also be responsible for HVAC system repairs, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring compliance with DOT, EPA, Interstate Authority, and OSHA regulations. The position requires moving trailers using a hostler in various weather conditions, accurately entering job times and parts on repair orders, operating specialized tooling and vehicles, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Interaction with operations and shop management is also a key part of the role.
