About The Position

As Service Technician, you are responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services for both customer equipment and the internal rental fleet. In addition to meeting recovery and efficiency metrics, you will ensure the facility remains clean and organized. You will also be expected to follow Bobcat warranty requirements to ensure compliance and proper reimbursement for warranty work. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as you will occasionally work in the field or at other locations.

Requirements

  • High-quality maintenance and repair services for customer equipment and internal rental fleet.
  • Meet or exceed a recovery rate goal of 80%.
  • Meet or exceed an efficiency rate goal of 100%.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on the internal rental fleet.
  • Inspect rental fleet equipment for wear and tear, repairing and maintaining it according to manufacturer specifications and company guidelines.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other system issues.
  • Reduce repair times while maintaining high-quality service.
  • Communicate repair progress and timelines to Service Advisors.
  • Provide feedback to Service Advisors on any delays or issues.
  • Follow all safety protocols.
  • Ensure repairs and maintenance meet safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Monitor the daily service schedule.
  • Communicate with the Service Advisor and team if adjustments to the schedule are needed.
  • Participate in daily briefings or meetings.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Clean up after repairs and dispose of waste according to safety protocols.
  • Perform repairs or maintenance at customer locations, construction sites, or other off-site locations.
  • Follow all Bobcat warranty requirements.
  • Accurately document all warranty-related repairs.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory.
  • Track parts used for repairs.
  • Participate in ongoing training.
  • Stay up to date with safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records for all repairs.
  • Track and report recovery and efficiency metrics.
  • Document all work completed in both the field and facility.

Responsibilities

  • Minimize time spent on repairs to improve the recovery rate, aiming for a goal of 80% or higher.
  • Complete repairs within the time estimated on the work order, aiming for an efficiency rate of 100% or higher.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on the internal rental fleet, ensuring equipment is in top working condition.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other system issues on customer equipment and rental fleet assets.
  • Communicate repair progress and timelines to Service Advisors clearly, setting realistic recovery time expectations.
  • Follow all safety protocols while performing repairs, both in the shop and in the field.
  • Regularly monitor the daily service schedule to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace within the facility, ensuring tools, parts, and equipment are stored properly.
  • Perform repairs or maintenance at customer locations, construction sites, or other off-site locations as needed.
  • Follow all Bobcat warranty requirements when performing repairs and maintenance on Bobcat equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory for both customer repairs and the rental fleet, ensuring parts are available and ordered in a timely manner.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with equipment technologies, repair techniques, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records for all repairs, including time clocked in, time billed, time estimated, and parts used.
