About The Position

Apple Towing Co. is one of the nation’s largest towing companies, specializing in the towing, storage, and liquidation of seized assets for the federal government. We proudly service districts for the U.S. Marshals Service, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and U.S. Customs & Border Protection. Our Houston headquarters manages a large fleet of tow trucks and support vehicles that keep our operations moving efficiently. We are seeking an experienced and dependable Fleet Mechanic to maintain, repair, and inspect our tow truck fleet. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, experience with both diesel and gasoline engines, and the ability to perform preventive maintenance to keep our vehicles in top operating condition.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in a towing or transportation environment
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagnostic tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and towing vehicles
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts, and service history
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
• Assist in the ordering of parts and supplies needed for repairs
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely vehicle availability
