About The Position

Allstate Sweeping Inc. is seeking to hire an experienced and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join their team. They are looking for a motivated individual who can help diagnose, repair, and maintain their fleet of Street Sweeping trucks. This is a long-term position in a small, family-owned company where skills and experience are valued. The pay rate will be based upon experience and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a heavy equipment diesel mechanic preferred.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and air systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues independently.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Must be self-motivated, dependable, and organized.
  • Must be honest and professional.
  • Qualified to perform DOT and brake inspections.

Nice To Haves

  • CDL preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain current street sweeper fleet.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, air, and mechanical systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
  • Diagnose issues and determine necessary repairs on various components.
  • Complete DOT and brake inspections.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work effectively with fellow mechanics, office staff & drivers.
  • Be available for occasional emergency after hours calls (2-hour minimum paid).
