About The Position

Select Water Solutions’ Diesel Truck Mechanic will maintain and repair our fleet of heavy-duty diesel trucks and related equipment. This is a hands-on role critical to keeping our operations running safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with strong mechanical aptitude and experience working on diesel engines in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of professional experience as a Diesel Truck Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines (Cummins, Detroit, Caterpillar, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
• Own basic set of hand tools and personal safety equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation and good attendance record.

Nice To Haves

• Technical certification (e.g., ASE) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel trucks (Class 7 & 8), including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and service according to manufacturer and company schedules.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Weld and fabricate parts as needed.
• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and parts inventory documentation.
• Ensure all work complies with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
• Operate shop equipment and tools safely.
• Assist with other facility maintenance tasks as assigned.
