About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Rayne, Louisiana. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for maintaining our fleet of garbage trucks, ensuring they are running efficiently and safely. Requirements
- 3+ years of diesel or heavy truck maintenance experience.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair techniques.
- Basic tool set.
- Valid driver's license required for road calls.
Nice To Haves
- Hydraulic experience.
- ASE certification.
- Class A or B CDL.
Responsibilities
- Handling repairs, inspections, and safety checks on garbage trucks.
- Diagnosing and fixing electrical, hydraulic, brake, suspension, and air systems.
- Using vehicle computer systems to troubleshoot and adjust engine controls.
- Reviewing and completing driver inspection reports.
- Logging work in fleet maintenance software.
- Test-driving trucks after service.
- Collaborating with teammates and maintaining shop cleanliness.
- Interacting professionally with drivers.
- Performing other assigned duties.
