About The Position
R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic at its Burlington Township, New Jersey Service Center. The role is responsible for day-to-day maintenance of fleet equipment, including preventive maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. Depending on the location, work may also include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, and dollies, as well as welding. This is a full-time, Monday-through-Friday position on the second shift, from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. The listed pay range is $34.11–$42.93 per hour. PTO is available after the first 90 calendar days of employment.
Requirements
- Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
- Ability to handle major repairs.
- Experience with air conditioning and electrical systems.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Must have own tools.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of diesel mechanic experience.
- Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins and Detroit engines.
- Experience using Cetaris for work orders.
- Experience in trailer preventive maintenance and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day maintenance and preventive maintenance on fleet equipment.
