About The Position

WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a Lead Diesel Mechanic who, under limited supervision, will repair and maintain our fleet of vehicles. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing fleet vehicles and equipment, interpreting vehicle condition reports and repair orders, and communicating with supervisors and equipment operators for maintenance needs. The mechanic will also be responsible for completing associated paperwork, documenting parts usage, accounting for applied times, and maintaining a clean and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and organizational standards. Additionally, the role includes training and developing junior technicians and performing other job-related duties as assigned, while maintaining a positive work environment.

Requirements

Equivalent of (1) high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair; OR (2) 6 years of related equipment maintenance and repair.
Valid driver license.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair fleet vehicles and equipment
Reads and interprets Vehicle Condition Reports and repair orders
Communicates with supervisor and equipment operators for clarification of maintenance needs
Completes paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounts for applied times
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and organizational standards
Trains and develops junior technicians
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
