About The Position
As a Refurbishment Technician, you’ll take aging fire apparatus and rescue vehicles and bring them back to life. Your work will include diagnosing, repairing, and refurbishing fire apparatus and emergency vehicles, rebuilding and restoring components on automotive, medium- and heavy-duty trucks, servicing Fire Division and EMS Division vehicles, working with small gas engines and related equipment, and ensuring all completed work meets reliability, safety, and quality standards.
Requirements
- A self-starter with a steady, solutions-driven mindset
- Knowledge of current repair and refurbishment practices for trucks and emergency vehicles
- Valid CDL-B with Air Brakes, or willingness to obtain within the first year
Nice To Haves
- Experience with diesel engines
- ASE and/or EVT certifications
