About The Position
R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Troy, NY. Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location.
Requirements
- Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
- Ability to handle major repairs.
- Experience with AC and Electrical systems.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Must have own tools.
Nice To Haves
- 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience.
- Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines.
- Experience using Cetaris for work orders.
- Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs.

Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day equipment maintenance on fleet equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts.
- Perform minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts.
- Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, and dollies.
- Perform welding as needed depending on location.
