Diesel Mechanic Full-Time 2nd Shift
About The Position
Bayland Transport, located in Green Bay, WI, is looking for a certified diesel mechanic/technician to provide additional support to maintain our fleet. In this role, you will perform all tractor and trailer repairs, including but not limited to electronic system diagnostics, brake diagnostics, engine, transmission, differential & drive train diagnostics, HVAC system diagnostics, fuel system, steering & suspension, and tire maintenance. You will also perform all tractor preventative maintenance tasks, DOT inspections, and report vehicle records electronically and manually. Additionally, you will maintain a clean and organized workplace and perform all refrigerated trailer repairs and preventative maintenance tasks associated with the trailers, including preventative maintenance of Diesel engines.
Requirements
- Diesel Mechanic Schooling/Training Background
- Standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, pulling, climbing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, reaching, paperwork, telephone calls, and training
- Noise, chemical & slip/trips/fall hazards associated with performing tasks
Nice To Haves
- Ability to operate manual transmission for testing repairs
- Proven record of maintaining diesel equipment and increasing business efficiency
- Troubleshooting
- Ability to effectively communicate written and verbally
- 1 year of diesel engine repair
- Diesel Mechanic Certification
