About The Position

South Main Trucking Co. currently has an opening at our Greensburg branch for a Diesel Mechanic. This role involves servicing and repairing vehicles, troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and conducting repair and replacement work on various parts. The mechanic may also need to travel to other branches to perform repairs. The company is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and values diverse perspectives. Requirements

Have own tools
At least 21 years old (insurance purposes)
Pass the DOT Physical
Clean driving record
Diesel experience
Regularly lift up to 50 lbs
Mechanical troubleshooting skills
Motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Willing to learn and expand skill set
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Work overtime as required
Meet DOT regulatory requirements for operating company or related vehicles
Familiar with all DOT regulations and truck operations
Sign all documentation to meet DOT regulations and company requirements
Must submit a background check and drug testing
Graduate of a technical school, military school, or relevant working experience acceptable to the company.
