About The Position
Jefferson Lines is hiring a Diesel Mechanic to help keep America’s #1 Bus Experience on the road. Join our team and be part of a company that values reliability, safety, and service. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various engine types and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our 95+ vehicle fleet of motorcoaches. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical aptitude, a desire to grow, and the ability to follow safety, company, and DOT regulations with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- At least 1 years’ experience in the diesel maintenance industry.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain CDL within 6 months of hire.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, including marijuana (THC).
- Successfully complete background check.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to follow safety, company, and DOT regulations with minimal supervision.
Nice To Haves
- EPA Section 608 certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Diagnostics and repair on diesel engines (Cummins and Detroit engines preferred).
- Brakes/steering components
- Mechanical component diagnostics & repair
- Vehicle diagnostic software & systems maintenance
- Maintenance and repair of HVAC systems (EPA Section 608 certification preferred).
