About The Position

Pro Disposal is a growing company that has been running trucks around Central PA for three generations, serving over 100,000 customers weekly with a fleet of 75+ trucks across nine counties. We are expanding our fleet with new equipment, including EVs, and are seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to ensure the fleet remains operational.

Requirements

Proven experience working on diesel or heavy-duty equipment.
Strong understanding of engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and air brakes.
Valid driver's license.
Proficiency with diagnostic software.
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
High school diploma.

Nice To Haves

CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
Trade school education.

Responsibilities

Diagnosing and fixing diesel trucks and heavy equipment, including engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and brakes (air and standard).
Performing preventative maintenance, including fluid and filter changes.
Responding to emergency breakdowns and road calls.
Utilizing diagnostic software such as Cummins Insite, Mack PTT, PACCAR DAVIE4, and Meritor WABCO.
Completing repairs identified on driver inspection reports.
Maintaining accurate records of parts, labor, and time.
Adhering to safety protocols, maintaining shop cleanliness, and following Life Critical Rules.
