About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring a Diesel Mechanic for an onsite position in Greensboro, NC. The role involves assembling, instrumenting, and upgrading prototype test objects in close cooperation with design engineering to support testing activities in test facilities. The mechanic will act as a test object expert, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues during testing phases, building standard assembly and more advanced prototypes, and maintaining close contact with the engineering network. This includes assembling, repairing, fine-tuning, and performing regular troubleshooting on test vehicles/engines. Requirements

  • On Associate level applies theoretical knowledge typically obtained through education (position typically requires 5 years of relevant experience)
  • Applies knowledge to the world of work: Onboarding to the Company, Induction to respective TD/BA, Transition Coaching
  • Getting to know the business, understanding the ways of working and the group and TD/BA culture
  • Learning about product streams and the contribution of his/her work within this as well as the lifelong learning expectations in the group, TD/Bas
  • Empowered to perform and make a value adding contribution to the assigned TD/BA asap with the benefit of ongoing support and supervision

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, instrument, and upgrade prototype test objects in close cooperation with design engineering to support testing activities in test facilities
  • Act as test object expert in relation to diagnosing and troubleshooting issues which appear during testing phases
  • Build standard assembly and more advanced prototypes
  • Maintain close contact with the engineering network
  • Assemble the test vehicle/engine
  • Repair the vehicle/engine in case of breakdowns
  • Fine tune the vehicle/engine
  • Perform regular troubleshooting
