About The Position
Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team in Keasbey, NJ. This role involves performing preventive maintenance and repairs on Switchers and Yard Goats, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring vehicles meet safety and compliance standards. The technician will also be responsible for documenting repairs, maintaining a clean work area, and following all safety procedures. The position is based in Keasbey, NJ, with a pay rate of $30.00 - $35.00 per hour and weekly pay.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ of hands-on experience performing
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position
- Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on Switchers and Yard Goats
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
- Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations
