About The Position

Hook-N-Haul, a swiftly growing Trucking, Towing, and Service company established in 2012, is seeking a dedicated Diesel Mechanic / Road Service Technician to join our skilled team in Ohio. Note: This is not a remote job; it involves being present at our Litchfield, Ohio location and occasionally providing mobile road service in the surrounding areas.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-year heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience.
• Possession of basic tools required for the job.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• ASE Diesel Certification strongly preferred.
• Class A CDL required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy-duty diesel mechanic roles.
• Ownership of basic tools required for the job.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must possess a good sense of humor and maintain a positive attitude.
• Able to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Basic proficiency with computer and telephone skills necessary.
• Strong ability in written and verbal communication.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including background checks, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), and drug tests.
• Availability to work rotating weekends and on-call as needed.

Nice To Haves

• ASE Diesel Certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and major repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on vehicles to ensure operational efficiency.
• Respond to service calls for roadside repairs as needed.
• Meticulously document maintenance and repairs performed.
• Carry out diagnostic tests to identify issues and assess functionality.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.
• Engage in various specialized tasks such as HVAC services, wiring fixes, and computer diagnostics.
• Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned by management to support team and operational goals.
