The mechanic will diagnose failures and repair the vehicle's mechanical, electric, and systems, using hydraulic jacks to gain access underneath vehicles. Responsibilities include assisting in the replacement of engines, transmissions, differentials, and springs, as well as troubleshooting and repairing heavy-duty truck engines, braking, electrical, and exhaust systems. The role also requires documenting repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks, collaborating with business partners for training and assistance on complex repairs, and testing vehicles after repairs and maintenance to ensure proper functioning.
