About The Position

This role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing various components of tractors, including brake systems, engines, electrical components, steering systems, drive trains, treatment systems, wheel ends, and tires. The position also includes performing preventative maintenance services such as oil changes, fluid checks, battery inspections/replacements, light testing, and equipment lubrication. The mechanic will establish and maintain positive working relationships, receive and carry out instructions, and maintain regular and predictable attendance. The job can be performed in an open environment with seasonal weather conditions.

Requirements

Communicates effectively.
Possesses knowledge of skilled trades such as automotive or diesel mechanics.
Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as required but may occasionally carry up to 130 pounds.
Uses computers and software programs proficiently.
Safety shoes (steel or composite toe) required.

Responsibilities

Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs brake systems, engines, electrical components, steering systems, drive trains, treatment systems, wheel ends, and tires for tractors.
Performs preventative maintenance services, including changing oil, checking fluids, inspecting/replacing batteries, testing lights, and lubricating equipment.
Establishes and maintains positive working relationships.
Receives and carries out instructions.
Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
Works in an open environment (seasonal weather).
