We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic to perform routine maintenance functions and adjustments on all types of class 6 through 8 diesel equipment, forklifts, and trailing equipment. This role involves accessing equipment to perform necessary maintenance, including inspecting and working in, on, or under parts of the equipment. The mechanic will be responsible for repairing or rebuilding various equipment systems, troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment and component issues, and performing HVAC system repairs. Adherence to DOT, EPA, Interstate Authority, OSHA, and other rules and regulations is required. The position also includes conducting safety inspections, maintaining proficiency with productivity-enhancing equipment and technologies, moving trailers using a hostler in various weather conditions, entering job times and parts on repair orders, operating specialized tooling and vehicles, and ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work area. Interaction with operations and shop management is also a key part of the role.
