About The Position
Join Waste Connections as a Diesel Mechanic and keep our fleet running strong! We’re hiring experienced techs to perform maintenance and repairs on garbage trucks—covering everything from hydraulics and electrical to engine systems. This is a hands-on, outdoor role for someone who takes pride in their work and values safety.
Requirements
- 3+ years of diesel or heavy truck experience
- Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
Nice To Haves
- ASE cert and CDL (A or B) a strong plus
- Reliable, hard-working, and safety-minded
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance & inspections
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues
- Handle on-road breakdowns and emergency calls
- Keep shop clean, organized, and safe
- Accurately document all work performed
Benefits
- $24–$30/hour based on experience
- $150/month tool allowance + annual boot stipend

- Consistent hours: 50–60 hrs/week, Sun–Thur. + some Saturdays
