About The Position
We are hiring immediately a Diesel Mechanic to maintain, diagnose and repair our commercial vehicles and related equipment in our Bedford, IL location. If your background includes diesel technician or related experience and excellent customer service skills, please apply! GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION Assists in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing commercial vehicles and related equipment. Also maintains, inspects, grades, changes and repairs commercial vehicle tires to ensure an effective Tire Program.
Requirements
- High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area, e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc., plus 7 to 11 months related experience and/or training, and 1 to 6 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Diesel technician or related experience
- Excellent customer service skills
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment within specified Service Repair Times (SRT)
- Follow established maintenance procedures and guidelines
- Safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintains, inspects, grades, changes and repairs commercial vehicle tires to ensure an effective Tire Program.
