About The Position

This position is responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

1 year of industrial maintenance experience required
Must provide own tools
Must have a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record
Minimum 1 year basic mechanical or maintenance skills
Minimum 1 year experience operating cutting torch and electric welder
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb stairs and ladders up to 20 feet
Ability to bend, stretch, reach
Ability to work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors
Must be able to complete the final task separate from the application
Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days
Applicants that have worked at Tyson 3 times or more are not eligible for rehire
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Receive training as required
Perform various positions as required/assigned
Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers
Perform basic electrical, pneumatic and hand tool work
Perform PM on equipment, oil changes, greasing, repairing or replacing semi tires, brake repair or replacement on semi-trucks and trailers
Operate cutting torch and electric welder
May perform air brake, electrical and air conditioning work
Read and understand assignments
Communicate both orally and in writing
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
