About The Position
Cox Fleet is seeking individuals eager to start a career as a Diesel Technician through their FleeTec Academy program. This paid educational program offers comprehensive training in Diesel Engine fundamentals and repair, leading to a full-time Mobile Diesel Mechanic position. The program includes four weeks of full-time schooling at an Academy Campus, with travel, accommodation, meals, and a paycheck covered. Upon completion of the classroom phase, participants will receive hands-on training from a Lead Technician and be offered a full-time job. The role involves performing preventative maintenance and general repairs at customer locations using a state-of-the-art mobile vehicle. Requirements
- Desire to start a career as a Diesel Technician and become a Mobile Mechanic.
- Willingness and ability to study hard.
- Dedication to being away from home for 4 weeks during the initial training.
- Maturity to focus on the task at hand.
- Technical aptitude and a passion for fixing vehicles.
- Ability to operate an iPad.
- Must be 21 years old to drive a company truck.
- High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to undergo background checks, driving record checks, pre-employment drug testing, and physical examinations.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a lube tech or in another position in a maintenance shop.
- Previous experience with vehicle repair, such as working on pickup trucks.
Responsibilities
