About The Position

Looking for an experienced diesel mechanic to work out of our Artesia, NM shop. The Diesel Mechanic will ensure oilfield equipment is being inspected, repaired, and all maintenance is completed on tractors and trailers in compliance with the DOT/FMCSA Standards.

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of diesel mechanics.
• D.E.F and SCR, sensors, injectors work
• Engine and fuel diagnostics (E.S.A and Cummins)
• Engine, transmission and chassis repair
• Tanker trailer, Roper pump, and hydraulic system repair
• Air system diagnostic and repair
• Understanding of Federal and State DOT Regulations, especially the DOT's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to direct and achieve priorities, goals, and strategies with limited supervision
• Documentation Skills
• Communication Skills
• +2 years Mechanic experience
• Understand the basic concept of computers (paperless facility)

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Kenworth equipment is a plus.
• Certifications a plus

Responsibilities

• Ensure oilfield equipment is being inspected, repaired, and all maintenance is completed on tractors and trailers in compliance with the DOT/FMCSA Standards.
• Perform Annual Inspections on equipment
• Perform maintenance on CMV and trailers
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and inspection reports
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Work closely with operations to maximize fleet uptime
