About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with diesel engines. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment and vehicles, including trucks and construction equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a diesel mechanic.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines and their components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 5 years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
  • Certification from a diesel mechanic program is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with diesel engines.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, such as fuel systems, brakes, and transmissions.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations.
  • Test drive vehicles to ensure proper performance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines.
